Literature Text

(You’re just the same my angel love
How is it that you haven’t changed at all?)
You broke my heart betrayed our cause
But still my love it hurt to watch you fall

Chorus
It’s not the same my love
(why can’t we be as we once were?)
Your broken wings my love
(your bitter eyes are still your own)
You are the one who left
(our love is stronger than this war)
Can you come back again?
(I can no longer call that place my home)
I will not fall with you
(I cannot rise again so there must be a place to start anew)

(This fight need not be ours my love
We’ve got each other and a world to see)
We’re on opposing sides my love
No place is safe nor home for you and me

Chorus

Bridge
Your broken wings (Your bitter eyes)
My love
The world that you’ve forsaken (The time that has been taken
From us)
(Your worthless wings) Your burning eyes
My love
We have no right to this

Chorus

Your broken wings my love
                               (Your bitter eyes my love)
Your broken wings… (Repeat, fade out)
Okay, so this is a bit more folksy than my usual songs, in fact it'd probably be well suited to a capella.

It was originally written for a pair of characters in an RPG - an angel and a demon, as if it's hard to tell :P

The words in parentheses are the demon, who I imagine as having a lower voice, underlined means they sing together. If the two parts are on the same line it means they're singing in unison, where it's on separate lines but there's a step kind of structure (at the end) they're overlapping voices. I hope I've made it clear enough, I'm trying to get it how it sounds in my head.
